How to get to Andorra from France: road, air, train, bus

The short answer
Andorra has no commercial airport: you arrive by road from France (Ariège, Pyrénées-Orientales) or Spain, often via Toulouse or Barcelona airport, then by car, bus or shuttle.
By road
Several mountain roads link France to the border, and the passes can be snowbound in winter. Check road conditions before you leave.
By air
The airports of Toulouse and Barcelona are the most used, followed by a road connection.
By train and bus
A train can take you close to the border, then a bus links up with Andorra. Shuttles from the airports also exist.
At the border
The border is a customs checkpoint: keep your identity documents with you. See shopping and customs.
Access by road
The main access from Ariège goes over the Envalira pass (2,408 m), which the Envalira tunnel, 2,879 m long, lets you bypass. The class 1 toll is 8.10 euros in 2026; it is reduced for some local users and free when the pass is closed because of weather. In winter, the condition of the pass and the mandatory equipment should be checked before you leave.
